“Right hand on the left handle”… that’s what my driving instructor taught me.

I don’t ride a bike as much as I once did anymore, but I never faced this problem when I did—riding the bike on the sidewalks instead solved it nicely.

Of course, it helped I lived in a town where the foot traffic on said sidewalks was low enough for such a solution to be practical. In cities where sidewalks are going to be more crowded you obviously would be less likely to get away with that.

Sorry about the door, Luther. Did that hurt? It looked very painful when you slammed into it.
