Fallacy of the excluded middle. Most USAians have a kitchen, and most of those who do have at least SOME ability to use it. And of course there’s what we do when we eat “out”: We carry it home and eat it there. Not to mention Door Dash etc… though that’s less likely right this moment.
Blame New York for the weather, Baghdad Bok. Sure, allow more people to become infected for the indoor dining experience. I’m sure the hospital and mortuary experience is also something to look forward to.
Why is the driver the governor? At least, that’s who I’m guessing the cartoonist has drawn. The governor has done his best to fight the pandemic, and done well, unlike the outgoing administration.
Why isn’t Trump shown driving the snowplow? He tossed the plans, and actually supported ‘Herd Immunity’, shown to fail by Sweden, and maliciously bungled America’s response.
The struggling restaurants have my sympathy, but how many lives are to be risked to keep them open? Why hasn’t Mitch McConnell acted to help? Maybe Moscow Mitch should be the driver.
3000+ deaths a day in the United States. We have more cases and deaths than India, although they have a much larger population. Why do ignore this unless it affects them personally?
The undeniably accurate internet tells me the average life of a restaurant ranges between 4.5 years to 8-10 years. So every year 10 or 20 percent of restaurants are expected to fail anyways. It’s a tough business, not that I don’t feel for the workers. Just sayin’…
The federal coronavirus response should’ve included Financial support of every restaurant for take out service so that they could feed hungry Americans. The farmers who supplied those restaurants should’ve had financial support so they didn’t have to waste their output. This is the price we were going to pay for having no planning on the federal level.
It is interesting that certain people lack the mental capacity to understand where the blame lies for something.
a 5 year old might blame the parents for not letting him go to a party that was cancelled due to rain. It isn’t the parents fault it rained, but the 5 year old is mad and has to direct that anger somewhere.
a 25 year with challenges might start yelling at the person at an airline check-in desk because their flight was cancelled due to rain. It wasn’t the check-in clerk’s decision to cancel the flight, and they have no say in the matter… plus it isn’t their fault it is a blizzard. But that 25 year old lacks the mental maturity to understand that and has to get mad at SOMEONE.
As people flee New York and California states for greener pastures, will the people above ever acknowledge the deadly side effects of the shutting down of economies?
Well seriously, if you’re stupid enough to want to dine outside during a blast of cold weather; if your urge to go out in the middle of a pandemic is stronger than your desire to live; if your desires trump the welfare of your local health care workers, you deserve all that you get. Are you one of these people Chip? I suspect so.

It’s a wonder that Bok didn’t blame the snow on the Democrats.

Yes, they should take the blame. Where do all the “snowflakes” come from?
