This is good. Payne has accepted the Election results, and has gone into the standard “lets attack the democrat president” mode, just like when Obama was in power. We are back to normal, this is the way things should be.
The industrial revolution brought us a better lifestyle, but there were consequences. . . No one is recommending regressing to horse and buggy days, but advocating progress through technology to minimize the effects of the consequences. . . WHAT? I ask, just WHAT the hell is the problem with that?
What I get out of this is the fact that some people might be expecting Biden to do a lot more than he’ll be able to do. Expecting him to do way more than he can, for whatever reason, will only lead to disappointment. I wish him well, and hope he can accomplish some good things, but I don’t expect miracles.
You tell ’em Henry! the electric train will never replace the coal burning steam engine! And our ships powered by something other than wind??? What kind of crazy liberal thinking is that? Every intelligent person knows that will never happen.
Yeah, once Joe Biden gets through with us I won’t be able to drop in at the Howard Johnson’s and get a pork hotdog any more. Or stop in at Borders for a coffee. Or grab that new cassette by Heart at Strawberries. . . .
Yes, Henry, we do need cars run by clean energy. And cutting back on meat consumption to reduce the environmental impact of the meat industry is also a good idea.
And feel free to criticize the Democrats, they do suck after all. But you have to do it in perspective compared to Republicans, who out-suck the Democrats at every turn.
Hehehe. Even the top-left headline is a flat lie. Biden’s intent on getting us united and working TOGETHER to solve “it”. Though I suspect he’ll never get ol’ Payne to put any effort into making things better for actual human-type people.
Trump’s plague isn’t going to magically disappear when Biden takes office. It is out of control and we can only wear our masks, stay away from other people and hope for the vaccine to really work. The way to make a plague disappear is to never let it get out of control in the first place. Trump cut the team that was supposed to do that out of the 2018 budget. Now, when we don’t have sunshine and lollipops by the first of March, the media will start picking at Biden’s administration. Mistakes will be made, and they will highlight them instead of the good being done— because they get better ratings. Since we will still be in the mess the Republicans left in 2024, there is a good chance that people will be stupid enough to put them back in the White House, so they can create more mess for the next Democrat to get stuck with. It’s been happening over and over since FDR, and we wonder why things are worse for the middle class than they were in 1950.

Mr. Payne: I recommend you pay attention to who is firing anyone who criticized him, or might have sometime in the distant past.
We all know that the Dotard-in-Chief has a problem with projecting his failures on others. It appears that this is contagious: please be careful.

More mentally ill republican ‘entertainment’, totally at odds with the facts, but facts are not a right wing concern.

Payne…not funny or inventive or observational, just weak…just weak…

I would happily have voted against those things if only an adult had been running on the republican side. Let that be a lesson for 2024.
