1. Happy surprise. Everybody is happy.
2. Not happy surprise: not good for Rex.
3. Poodle is a he. See number 1 or number 2. Or: Happy surprise, but not for Rex.

Yeah, the dog tried that with our cat a couple days ago (the same cat who comes up and lowers his head for a Lab lick on the top of his head) and the cat turned around, went up on his back legs and proceeded to pummel the dog with both front paws!
By the look on her face, Rex needs to move on.
