Donald Trump, who has ZERO science background and only graduated college because his daddy paid a smart friend to take his tests for him, calls real scientists like Dr Anthony Fauci and others “idiots” while hundreds of thousands of Americans die in the Trump genocide (under the orders of Putin to kill of Americans?).

Compare with other countries who actually “listened to the scientists”:

The U.S. and South Korea had the first confirmed cases of community transmission ON THE SAME DAY. South Korea moved immediate and aggressively to follow the Obama playbook: testing to IDENTIFY, then ISOLATE those who test positive (with or without symptoms), do extensive CONTACT TRACING and TARGETED quarantining, and full CONTAINMENT.

As of the latest figures today, the death rate (equalized per capita) in South Korea is NINE per million of population and stable (despite greater population density, a more elderly population and open air “wet markets” and crowded urban business districts); in contrast, the death rate in the U.S. is now 686 per million and rising.

If the United States “only” had nine deaths per million, like Singapore that essentially followed the Obama protocols, that would be a little more than 3,000 total deaths instead of more than 225,000. So for every death after two thousand, the blood is on Trump’s hands.

South Korea: NINE deaths per million and holding steady

Japan: 13 deaths per million and holding steady

Iceland: 32 deaths per million and holding steady

And because of early, aggressive action to IDENTIFY, ISOLATE, CONTACT TRACE and CONTAIN with narrow, specifically TARGETED QUARANTINES, SOUTH KOREA, SINGAPORE, JAPAN and ICELAND NEVER HAD TO GO TO FULL, GENERAL SHUTDOWN and never saw a spike in unemployment.

About 150,000 people in the USA would still be alive, maybe more, who instead died of Covid-19. And we’d be a little further forward on dealing with climate change. And …

Trump claims that if he listened to the scientists, there would be 500,000 people dead from COVID19 by now. Isn’t republican logic and math wonderful?
