I usually say that I will get to it before winter starts. Then I spend twice as much time getting it started in the spring when I finally got to it.

I’ve tried all three approaches, and didn’t notice any difference in the spring. That’s where starter fluid come in handy.

You can use your turkey baster to siphon the gas.

After each use, mower should be placed where user cannot find it, perhaps next to the washer/dryer, in hopes that it never has to be used again.

Put stabilizer in your gas can every time you fill it up and you will never have to worry about winterizing your lawn mower again. My mower is 10 or 11 years old and always starts first pull, unless I forget to prime it first.

I mow twice a week from April to Nov, I also pull the battery after each use. then I put stabilizer in it for the winter and pull the battery. If I need to mow it still runs without a problem.
