For those who are curious, the Mona Lisa is valued around $850 million.

Loch Ness monster? It was aliens. Ancient aliens and their experiments, suggest the ancient astronaut theorists.

I’m surprised more celebrities and athletes don’t save money and ditch agents.

So I was going to post about how Nessie was actually just a modern spoof. However, Encyclopedia Brittanica agrees with Ripley’s, that the evidence of the myth goes back to around 1500 years ago.

Nessie ties in well to the Biblical story of Leviathan found in Job and elsewhere.

I’d bet Bill Murray uses a 900 number.

Her smile comes from the ‘Mona Lisa Trust Fund’.

The Scots whiskey is smoother now than then, but has the same effect.

When I was a kid, we visited the Louvre museum. At that time there was just a straight 2 meter velvet rope set about a meter in from of the ML. The nearest guard was about 20 feet away. One could just walk around the rope to get to the painting. I remember telling my parents that I could push against the slack in the rope and reach out far enough to touch it. It was also smaller than I had imagined. It didn’t get the attention it does now. I expected huge crowds and lines to get to see it, but I just strolled up to it. There were so many other famous items in that room.

The Mona Lisa is not insured. It was was assessed for $100,000,000 in 1962, probably for its visit to the US in ’63. That amount would be $850,000,000 today, but since it would never be sold on any kind of a legal market, its value is inestimable. If it were on the market, my guess is it would be in the $billions.

Wes Anderson’s next picture is rumored to be a horror, quirky tale of Michelangelo ,played by Bill Murry, venturing underwater in a grumpy Da Vinci’s submarine (on a very short loan) looking for Loch Ness to paint. Only to realize what in life truly matters to a kooky soundtrack.
