Tracy has been looking for reports of medical facility thefts and hasn’t found any. The thing is, you know, the biology prof probably “stole” the parts from his own lab, and wouldn’t be inclined to report that, I’m sure. He does have the required “professional status.”
It seems to me that Stokes’ “minor adjustment” is the same one he was talking about when we last saw him two weeks ago. Anyway, he’s not quite ready to strike again just yet, apparently.
The last time I saw a vampire story arc in a comic strip was when Captain Easy had one back in the late 1970’s. I’d love to see reprints of all the Captain Easy strips from 1977-79.
Trying to wrap my head around how one’s professional status as a History or anthropology professor (one would assume those two would be the most likely paths to be studying the history of vampires), somehow equates to being able to get quality parts. So, there is like, a regulated market for metal fangs in the Tracyverse? And they are like, oh, you are a history prof, of course you need metal fangs and blood pumping equipment. O_o

2-THE SHARP TOOTHED INSULT COMIC PROFESSOR: My Personal Pleasure Device invention needs another test. That first test didn’t turn out so well. I was so certain the test subject would be so overcome with passion that she wouldn’t file charges.
3-…Well, she didn’t file charges anyway. Minor setback. Mmmm. Theeth teeth gif me a disarming thmile…and a little drool. OWWW! MY CHIN! Must keep mouth open. Now, which of my patented come-ons should I use… Maybe…

So, Tracy has figured out that this it the ONLY design that could work, and the pumps, tubing, motors and batteries could ONLY have come from high quality parts that ONLY a professional of some sort could possibly have access to, since there are no thefts in the entire world of the components which are the only ones that could possibly work. If Tracy can intuitively know all this (which can’t be proven) then he should be able to intuitively know the killer.
The Hunt for Red Fangs in October is warming up. At the rate our detectives are going today, it will not take them long to trace their way back to Professor Stokes. But will he kill again before they get to him? Whaddya think?

Apparently the fangs fit over two of the incisors rather than the canines. Teeth 7 & 10 specifically.
