Fake grass doesn’t feel or smell like real grass. If I can tell the difference, you can bet a dog certainly can.

It’s like pooping on the carpet. Don’t make me do it or you’ll regret it later!

Back in the 70’s, my family moved to new house in the suburbs. Mom got a new puppy and “trained” him on leftover carpet scraps and then was upset that the dog would piddle everywhere in the house (it was completed carpeted, kitchen, bathrooms, everything except the laundryroom and the garage….. ridiculous, but it was the new trend.). I laughed about it, after pointing this out. Dad also laughed, especially when mom was cleaning up another “accident.”

Standards? Oh sure. Like the standards of drinking from the toilet, eh, doggie?

I am on the dog’s side on this too…take him to real grass, he needs the smells etc. to go.

Nodog uses that site. He needs his social media and p-mail.

Someone asked Tug McGraw if he preferred real grass or AstroTurf. He said “I don’t know, I never smoked AstroTurf.”

My dog is the same way.

i have used astro turf in my last 3 homes, for over 35 years in the dog area. So much easier to pick up droppings and no mowing over unseen piles.
