    I had to study the punctuation in the word balloon in panel 2 to figure out the shift between narration and speech. The ellipsis denoted a pause.

    As a person of a certain age I’ve learned that at a certain age reminiscing can induce suicidal ideation or at least a strong desire to hide under the bed forever. Dementia may be a good thing.

    The mind can be a terrible thing when it goes rogue.

    But, cabbage and lentils? I do not like and almost never eat (cooked) cabbage (raw, in a salad, is a different thing). Lentils are a favorite, though….
