It was so, so thoughtful of Tiny to keep us feeling safe when we weren’t. So why am I like a five year old wishing Christmas would come quicker now as a retiree wondering why I have to wait so long for November 3?
Trump is trying, through his pet A.G., to get his trial for defamation of character dropped BEFORE he has to submit a DNA sample to the accuser’s attorney as part of the “discovery” process.
I am no lawyer, but I have been told by people that ARE, that trying to get a civil case on a crime that occurred 25 years ago transferred to a federal venue is ludicrous and the judge will never allow it and that the ONLY reason for the attempt is to push the case past the election!
I heard a good analogy this morning. If a building is on fire, you go on the PA system and tell them there is a fire in the building and that they should grab their kids and pets and proceed to the nearest exit. You don’t avoid panic by and telling everybody that there is no fire, or that it is just a spark and it will be out soon.
this could be the just the first step: Living in a coastal area in Florida we pay a lot of attention to hurricane warnings never realizing that the way to serenity is just not to listen to the warnings and all will be well. Might as well disband the National Weather Service. I imagine the people living in Tornado Alley will feel the same – no warnings, no panic.
I am a grownup. I have a right to be told the truth. If I choose to panic, that is my right. Suppose a woman in early February had panicked. What would she do? Maybe not go on to a store where she caught the Trump plague- then go to a party and Saturday night and church on Sunday morning, so she didn’t pass it along to other people who then passed it on and etc-etc-etc. Trump didn’t lie to us to protect us. He lied because he hoped it would protect his ratings, and he cared more about that then killing people with the plague that would never have gotten out of China if he hadn’t cut Obama’s pandemic response team out of the budget.
Let’s US not panic! His days are numbered. And with him finally admitting that he knew how deadly this virus was, he’s further sailing up poop creek with no toilet paper in sight.
Does anyone not a Drumpfster believe that lie that Drumpf didn’t want to panic the public? Ignoring a problem is not the way to avoid a panic and address the problem.
