The comments on the use of “B.C.” remind me of a classic brain-teaser from when I was a kid: An archaeologist reported finding a coin dated 500 B.C. How did people know he was lying?

I watched a documentary some years ago and the narrator mentioned that our idea that Neanderthals were hunched back came from a set of bones that have since been determined to have had osteoporosis and that it wasn’t indicative of others who lived during that time. Not sure how accurate that info was but it was on like the History channel back in the late 90’s.
