Tires are for swinging, tubes are for slinging. Here, I’ll show you: Hop in!

The tube looks like it’s from a bicycle, even the tire wouldn’t do them much good

Good luck getting dad’s spare off the rim

When I was a kid, we had bucket-seat-like swings each of which had been carved out from maybe 60 degrees of a tractor tire. That’s what “tire swing” will always mean to me!

Grandpa needs to go find a used tire somewhere and make his grandkids a proper tire swing

We had a tire swing. Hard on the ribs when you crawled into it on your belly.

Frank has a spare tire, but not that kind of spare tire.

I think the joke may be flat.

You need to retire that swing.

They found a car tire tube? That alone is an antique in today’s tubeless tire world. I remember working with car tires using tubes.

Actually, my Dad made us inner tube swings using inner tubes from cars. Tire swings would collect rainwater, making them hospitable for mosquitoes. Inner tubes didn’t plus you could twist them like playground swings and then spin on them.

61 years old, and I suddenly want to find a swingset. The neighbors three doors down had a tire swing when I was a kid…

You want the tire skin, not the guts…
