Somewhat off topic – Yesterday on satellite radio (60s on 6), I heard a recording of William Shatner singing “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds”. Of course, being Shatner, he wasn’t singing, but merely speaking with exaggerated vocal inflections in that halting way he is known for and comically parodied these days. OMG. I hope I never hear that again. HAHAHA
One minor flaw… If Red is in the front and Rover is in the back, assuming that the direction of travel is towards Red, the Flag needs to be Reversed so the Field of Stars is leading, like it would be if the Flag was in a wind…
Those two have no hope whatsoever of every getting those ‘helmets’ off their heads. … which, at least for Red, is going to get pretty uncomfortable around year five of this mission.
Fun fact; the complete monologue takes approximately 20 seconds to say, so if you are bored washing your hands to the ABC song twice you can recite this once instead.
My mom was the one who sat us down and “made” us watch Star Trek when it first came out. I was a trekkie from the beginning of Star Trek (as I am sure a lot of you are). My daughter likes to proclaim that she is a 3rd generation geek. :o)
Browsing Netflix I found the PILOT episode of Star Trek that I had never seen. The one with Jeffery Hunter! Majel Barrett as Number Two. The communicators cobbled up from discarded Radio Shack parts! They don’t have “Impulse Engines” they have “Rockets”! Hilarious!

Hope they never aspire to be one of the guys in the red shirts. Except for Scotty they always were the ones dying on the planet.

I just watched one of my favorite episodes Arena yesterday on TV. I think they should have a series around the Gorn civilization!

Red simply spends too much of his life watching TV.

It only felt like 5 years because you couldn’t binge-watch, you had to wait a week between episodes and then commercials every 5 minutes!

Actual time would have no real meaning if you travel at warp speed.
