He wouldn’t be caught dead looking at a book from the inside. Nor any reasonably large amount of text in any format.

If the subject matter isn’t about how great the Murderous Mango is, the book should be burned…

Trump said “It’s all Greek to me” before being told the book was upside down.

His non-reading list is extensive. Among the other titles he ignores: the intelligence briefing he has none, the financial briefing unless it is mostly about his holdings, the social security outline not germane to the 1%, i.e., his constituents, the pandemic threat warning book he panned that one, and the US Constitution briefing, which he thought was about the Boston monument and not the treasured document for which we shed tears every day. What a guy. He thinks erudition is loss of topsoil.

And this explains why Evangelical Christians LOVE Trump. “God said it and that settles it.” God, in this case, being Trump.

Science is not for the wimpish. It answers a lot of things but not everything. Even when it does “answer” a question, that answer is subject to change upon new discoveries that contradict it. People don’t like change. This applies even to scientists who sometimes hold onto their pet theory long after the facts have put it in the grave. They will put band aid after band aid on the corpse hoping to resurrect it.

Tell me something that I like to hear. Tell me that it’s true. Tell me it will never change. Now that’s comfortable. Once I wrap my mind around the concept, I’ll never have to use it again. Don’t make me think. Tell me what to do and how to act. I like that. I absolves me entirely of any responsibility for my actions.

I’m not picking only on Trump supporters here. This is simply human nature. 80% (my estimate based on about 60 years of observation) of people are sheep. They do not want to lead. They do not want to take responsibility. They do not want to think for themselves, especially when that though might contradict what they already believe. It is much easier to follow the herd whether the herd is going right or left or off a cliff.

So by my estimate, 80% of the people are anywhere from mildly anti-science to totally anti-science.

Up next: the correlation between people who believe in alien abductions and ancient astronauts and Trump supporters.

Republicans have rejected science, empathy, truth and honesty, and embraced viciousness, lies, greed and tribalism.

The results are 90,000 dead and 33 million unemployed and the meter is still ticking as the mentally unstable Republicans refuse to deal with reality.

Takes a special skill to read upside down.. which is one of many skills trump doesn’t have. But reading is hard.. he gets his wisdom from “people say”.

Mr. Trump wouldn’t read that book, even if it were right-side-up. After all, it would have words with more than three syllables and any illustrations would already be colored in. “And what is the use of a book,” thought Alice, "without pictures or conversation?” – Lewis Carroll; Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland.

Does anyone think he’s better educated than a B-average middle-schooler?

I always thought a POTUS should be smarter than the average shlump. Not someone who, when asked what his favorite part of the Buy-bull is, replied “All of it!” Of course!
