He started his political career by screwing over labor unions he conned into supporting him. He wants to end up on top by screwing over the nation that buys his b. s. and ignores his treason. Russians still paying you well, Comrade Moscow Mitch?
Mooching Moscow Mitch has no problem steering money into Kentucky through illicit transportation funds yet won’t put out a dime (or a damn) for the states that created the money for him to do so.
Where the heck do the Republicans come up with people like this, and on top of it elect them to public office? Yeah, I know both sides have a few but the Republicans really outdo themselves.
The heroic efforts of Sen. McCain & Sen. Feingold to reform the way money is raised and spent on political campaigns prompted the longest and most complicated ruling to date by any federal court, in the Addison Mitchell McConnell v. Federal Election Commission case of 2003.
Mitch, along with California’s democratic party, lost that battle with a mixed ruling later from SCOTUS. Thus dawned a new American political era, one in which grass roots contributions from the people gained equal footing against companies who were simply buying Congress and the WH.
As Senate majority leader, McConnell resurrected the case as Citizens United [note: no citizens actually involved, unless you count lawyers], and had the whole thing reversed.
Now McConnell is free to take bribes- er contributions, making his campaign treasury the largest in U.S. history.
Wouldn’t it be grand if Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath, the candidate challenging McConnell this year, won despite the dirty money?
Amy is a former Marine fighter pilot who flew 89 combat missions against al-Qaeda and the Taliban after 9/11, and claims her three kids, Theodore, Eleanor, and George as her finest accomplishment.
Way to go, McConnell: telling the states to screw over the companies that provide goods and services to them just so there’s enough cash to pass out to your favored cronies. Great way to destroy whatever little bit of the economy that will survive this holocaust. He is more vomitous than Trump.
Has much work been done to trace McConnell family wealth to his wife’s ties with China? This should make any connection with Joe Biden’s son with Ukraine look like peanuts: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/02/us/politics/elaine-chao-china.html
Amy McGrath. Donate today. Send the “Gravedigger of Democracy” to the ash heap of history. It’ll take decades to repair the damage this petty hypocrite has done.
As Governor Cuomo pointed out today, states CANNOT declare bankruptcy. A new and VERY special law would have to be passed. Of course, bankruptcy doesn’t pay firemen, police, schoolteachers…

I think that he was morally bankrupt when he STARTED his downhill side, though in his case it was more of full-out run than a slide.

McConnell makes RW support of the 2nd seem almost rational.

McConnell was morally bankrupt at least as far back as high school running for student council. He describes getting his start in politics there…

Trumpers should be proud of Trump’s multiple bankruptcies! Surprised that they are not protesting that their governors aren’t doing the same thing…

I had to google this. I don’t believe Moscow Mitch would admit to moral bankruptcy. No corroboration found
