Well, we know where the over-priced defective ones came from.

Trump 2016: “I alone can fix it.”

Trump 2020: “The president has total authority.”

Trump 2020: “I take no responsibility.”

Trump declares a national emergency. The national emergency laws state explicitly that, in doing so, the Federal government takes responsibility for managing the emergency. Trump then declares that he has “total” authority but “zero” responsibility.

Trump says the federal government is “not a shipping clerk” and that the states are responsible for their own procurement, but then he sets themselves up in competitive bidding wars against each other, and when they do negotiate deals, seizes materials procured (as he directed) from blue states who are in dire need, and redistributes them to red states, often in situations that exceed their requests or in which they had not even made requests.

Funny. But not funny enough to make the situation tolerable.

Here’s an idea, strip Trump (I know it sounds gross, but…) tie him down and tattoo the Constitution on his body, with dull needles.

Illinois governor J. B. Pritzker organized secret flights from China to get needed medical supplies because he feared the United States government would seize them if he didn’t keep them secret.

Satire no longer needed.

Suppose they called for a news conference and no reporters came? I’m just sayin’.

Just think had he planned ahead, all the millions he spent on that useless wall, could have gone to a Health and Welfare Dept with professionals, like scientists, doctors, etc. Instead, his administration is a ghost town with no one in it except empty suits and boneless cowards who lap at his @$$ all day.

On a positive note, I notice Clay is the only cartoonist to have a contribution on the first page. (A contribution that I read, that is.) Way to go, Clay.

I seem to remember an episode of M*A*S*H* with a similar situation.

Use the stamp on death certificates. (Not that ventilators are any silver bullet. Most people who go on ventilators still die).

Trump in a NUTshell: He must have his fragile ego stroked unceasingly and/or he has to have a financial profit tied to his relationship with you.
