I would have punished Bucky right after he wrecked the boat. (In fact, I would have threatened him with punishment to keep him from wrecking it.) This does seem a bit indirect. How was Bucky (or anybody) to know that Satchel would try to flush a ship model down the toilet?

when you are committing a crime, and something else happens as a result of that crime (property damage, someone being hurt or killed, etc) then you are liable for that result as well as your original crime. In this instance, the toilet would not have flooded if Bucky hadn’t broke the boat, so the flood is his fault.

I’d unclog the toilet first.
