Yesterday’s final panel made it look as if Mildred would miss the water entirely and would break her neck on the land next to the bridge.

I wonder where they got the raft. That could come in handy, in a flood.

Yes, Mildred has a plan.

Oddly, this is now the second case that’s ended up with Mildred, Lottie, and Sonny in a boat on the Tack. That’s fully 40% of the Bad Machinery cases so far.

It might seem like a trend, but (spoiler), it’s also the last one. There’s a later case that ends in a boat, but it’s Lottie and Shauna.

At least this time Lottie didn’t throw the oars overboard.

That’s a pretty impressive sting operation. I’m impressed that they got so many people to participate. Since Sasha mentioned ‘the other two’ I wonder if they’ll get the police to relabel the deaths of those girls as murder instead of accidental drowning.

HOORAY! Mildred is alive! Sasha’s expression in the fourth panel is so good. So “Oh no, I’ll go to jail”. It’s nice to see the whole gang involved in the operation, even Colm.

OH YES, MISS, IT WAS ALL A TRAP AND YOU FELL IN IT, HOOK, LINE AND SINKER

And she felt for it!

This time the whole posse turned out.

In P2 Sasha looks surprised. In P4 she looks sad. In P7 she is puzzled. Since they have video evidence, will she get her just rewards?

How is it Lottie is always putting it? J’accuse!

That’s the definition of a life raft if I’ve ever seen it.

The jig is up! The mystery crew has done good. Time for Scooby snacks!

Still, I can’t help but feel bad for Sasha. Yes, she has done terrible things, but it seems life has given her the short straw, and driven her, pawn like, to the slaughter.

Great to see teamwork.
