@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny , these days cops not only have they got our HERO Mr Andrew Capp on their workload , they also have to check that people on obligatory quarantine because of the @#$%&% Corona virus are not out of their homes and fine them if they do :o{ , my avatar is of Grumpy , one of the dwarves from Walt Disney’s first full length movie " Snow White and the 7 dwarves" which is how I am feeling being cooped up , come stai passando la sua giornata jmprigionato ?our day should be very busy and hectic but we will cope I hope, a bientot mon moins vieux amigo .
Long-running comic strip (or comic book) characters are either re-booted or their past is simply ignored. Clark (Superman) Kent flunked his army induction physical when he accidentally used his X-ray vision and read the eye chart in the neighboring exam room, instead of the one he was in. Thus, he sat out WW II. Whereas Andy DID serve in the war, although we don’t mention that much these days………By the way, children’s author Beverly Cleary recently turned 104 years old, so she even beats Andy!

Could be worse. At least there isn’t a giant gorilla on the loose. (Although I suspect a giant gorilla would be easier to deal with than Andy.)
