Just a year but it was enough, which with all the Chinese and Russian munitions coming in, guess it’s also okay ‘Nam is also one of our major trading partners.
Everybody compares themselves with their OWN context. Old dude had a whole different background context (mine, more or less). And he spent his purgatory in the presence of people who were on his team. Young dude’s context is a LOT different, and he’s not in the company of his team. It may be that being isolated is actually harder, mental-emotional-ly than fighting in the heat and mud.
Some of us jocosely gripe about cabin fever. Reflect on people locked up in jail or prison and living on jailhouse fair as a comparison. Better yet, reflect on those in solitary confinement in a 6 X 8 cell for 23 hours a day. Cabin fever ain’t so bad, even for the 2 or 3 months that’s likely to be required in order to be really effective as a strategy to slow this pandemic.
( Better Example) I’ve been forced to stay home, While my Wife, an RN at the local hospital works long shifts without a respirator. Our daughter is immune deficient from Cancer Treatments so I am afraid that the day will come that my wife catches this disease. That would be a death sentence for our daughter. I have been laid off from my job so she has to continue to work to pay our heath insurance premium. I have tried to get my family to help watch our daughter while i scour the hardware stores looking for masks for my wife. I don’t know how some people can find them while my wife goes without.
The worst case scenario is that She gets sick and dies and we loose coverage for our daughter.
THAT Mr. Kelly is the reality for some of the people working thorough this disaster of Trumps ignorance. So please don’t make light because not everyone is suffering.
“I did it for the sake of other Americans.” Other Americans would be the military-industrial complex that was going bankrupt because we weren’t killing innocent Vietnamese for their greed.

They’re both “losers”. Trump had it REALLY tough, avoiding STD’s in college.

Action defines the person, or in this crisis, INACTION by staying home is key.

Nothing but systemized social media bullying. Let’s pick on the young. It’s not racist, it’s not religion, and hey, it’s fun!

Apples and oranges Kelley most people know that. Now put a doctor or nurse across from the veteran and you can make a point.

Try being an Afghan or Iraqi Veteran who sat down with a WW2, Korea, and Vietnam veteran. Now that’s putting things into context.
