Been watching some old TVS stuff on WatchYour.TV. Last night, it was UCLA-Houston from 1968 (Lew Alcindor, Elvin Hayes, Lucius Allen, Don Chaney, Lynn Shackleford and future Harlem Globetrotter Theodis “Wolfman” Lee). The Big E wasn’t shy about pulling the trigger even then.
Excellent idea Mr Hinds for parents who don’t play video games. Get the kids to play their EA Sports games while you just sit back and get your sports fix
There was a battery-operated electronic board game released in 1988 called Starting Lineup Talking Baseball. While it’s designed for 1 or 2 players, you can let the computer play by itself and there’s an announcer calling the action throughout the game via a built-in speaker. Games take about half the time to play on Talking Baseball as the real thing (and no commercials!), so it’s somewhat similar to listening an MLB game from 1988 on the radio. http://electronicbaseball.blogspot.com/search/label/Parker%20Brothers
