    Raging capitalist economy = socialism?

S’alright. I am in awe of your artistry, if not your thought processes.

Hey Ramirez, why don’t you find something genuinely scary? Like if people don’t get out and vote, they might get four more years of Trumpian destruction…

Mike once again mixes socialism and communism as a single “thing” while ignoring what is actually going on.

The cartoonist seems unaware, or perhaps more likely, to choose not to face the reality that it’s the orange buffoon, Moscow Mitch, Leningrad Lindsey etc. that are complicit with Russian interference in our electoral process. If we ever get to the bottom of Trump Swamp (not likely anytime soon with the orange buffoon continually adding to its depth), I believe we’re going to see illicit connections with Russia that will be truly unsettling, and most assuredly criminal!

I would be a lot more impressed if many conservatives could actually define socialism when asked to do so in normal conversation. Most can’t. It reminds me of a backwoods minister I once heard who liked to use big words to impress his congregation, although he might have done better to investigate the definitions before doing so; his sermon concerned the evils of illegal whiskey, “moonshine.” He had referred to it by all it’s slang synonyms; popskull, white lightnin’, corn likker, et al. He go so wrapped up in his discourse, he shouted, “I’ve even heared some o’ you boys say let’s go to town an get us some poontang!” I painfully managed to keep a solemn face up until the invitation when he called on sinners to come to the altar and pray while Sister Uriah urinated the closing hymn on the organ. (I am not making this up.)

There are times when I think of moving to California just be a part of a state run by Democrats. Oh to be in a state whose government takes care of infrastructure and the all the people at every economic strata. Could we have that in the nation with the clean sweep of the Congress and White House by Dems in 2020? GO DEMS, 2020.

You can always tell a country is communist when “Peoples Democratic” are in the name. Like Peoples Democratic Republic of Kalifornia.

Pathetic, Ramirez. Perhaps we should put the “Socialism” label on the US flag since we have so many policies and programs we adopted straight from Socialist economic principles.

Doesn’t Ramirez know that when he uses the Internet to post his uninformed cartoons he’s supporting socialism? The Internet is the ultimate socialist platform, owned by nobody and maintained, governed, paid for, and contributed to by corporations, government, and people all over the world.

So unplug your devices, Ramirez and go back to writing letters and mailing them in. Oh wait, that socialism. How about faxing it in, er wait, that infrastructure is also socialism.

I guess you just need to, hmmm. Can’t drive anywhere on those socialist streets, have anything to eat or drink that wasn’t inspected by the socialist FDA. Or use anything electric by the socialist electrical grids.

Mr. Ramirez, I guess you’re just screwed. maybe go live in a cave someplace and eat what you’ve hunted on your own.

Those on the Right are so apt at understanding the “history” of socialism, I wonder if they’re as familiar with the failures of capitalism? Boom and bust (the Great Depression in particular was such a good thing!) cycles. Imperialism. Endemic poverty. Robber barons. Killing those who protest (West Virginia miners’ war as one example). And so on. Let’s give a fair and balanced history, eh?

With the world’s fifth-largest economy, I guess they can be a bit socialist if they want to be. In fact, maybe they NEED to be a bit socialist.

“Socialism” is a word derived from the word “society.” It means “the people”, not government.

Another word meaning “the people” is the Greek word “demos”, that is the root of the word “democracy,” a modern political system developed by the Greeks. This means “socialism” is only another way of saying “democracy.”

Michael Ramirez’s hatred toward “socialism” is really a hatred of democracy.

If people willingly select a form of government in a free election, that is their choice. Just because it isn’t your choice doesn’t make it any less valid.

Remember when California was run by Republicans and had a budget deficit that just couldn’t be fixed? Then remember when the Democrats took over the governance of California and managed to balance that un-balance-able budget?

Democratic Socialism in action. But Republicans have NO INTEREST in fiscal responsibility.

Who would want to live in California? your house values are ever increasing because of new people coming in. The Average pay is so high. The education system is good.

No People want to live in Bum F*ck Alabama or Mississippi, You Know places that Payne thinks are representative of what is good about America. Where African Americans make 60% of the salary of their white counterparts.
