He’s such a heroic cat.

“Faster than an electric can opener … able to leap upon kitchen counters in a single bound .. look, up in the sky … it’s SuperCat!”

From the expression on the rescuee’s (presumably Kliban’s) face, he’s being “rescued” from getting work done, as even non-SuperCats often do by sitting on the paper, reclining on the keyboard, etc.

All cats have superpowers. What’s the first thing you want to do when you see a cat? Pick it up and cuddle it. That’s their superpower.

Able to leap in a single bound, knock over the lamp, scratch the furniture and still pounce on your lap and purrrrrrrrrr…meow

A great reminder of just how good I am really was.

Cute cats have rescued the artist from obscure poverty. He doesn’t look that happy about it.One could argue that cats also did the same for Edward Gorey, after he did the illustrations for T.S.Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.

Can’t wait till he meets up with Mighty Mouse.

Very interesting portrayal…kinda deep.

I once had a cat muse, Wilamena the Radio Cat. She would look at me like I was about to do something extraordinary and I felt obligated. Got a lot of art done in those days.
