Well, one thing for sure, that insurance company is NOT the one I am with! I have Humana Healthcare, and they treat me like a queen! If you have it in your neck of the woods, check it out for a reliable healthcare company! I love them and have been with them since 2006!
Thank dog we emigrated to Canada several years ago. And have a Costco not too far away. We have provisions to last a month if needed. And two boxes of N-99 masks. Wash early, wash often.
I’m fighting w/ United Health Care (dental rider) right now: They’ve denied my claim for oral surgery to fix a cyst at tooth #9 (one of the two front teef) because “this procedure is not appropriate for this tooth/teeth” When I called and asked, they said that it was appropriate for several other teeth. Whatta buncha bull oney.
PS: The oral surgeon required payment in full up front, saying “we will let you fight with the insurance company”… which just means that he has zero incentive to help me in that fight. Never going back THERE again !

Thanks to Republican’s constant attacks on public health care, the poor cannot afford medical treatment and will spread the coronavirus around.
The problem is testing in the US has been limited so far, with only a small fraction getting tested for Covid-19 because they fear what it’ll cost.
Americans could be stuck paying for other medical-related costs for suspected coronavirus treatment, like a $1,000 hospital stay.
A US resident checked into a hospital for the flu after a China work trip. He didn’t have coronavirus, but he did end up with a $3200 medical bill.

“We don’t pay for treatment related to COVID-19. Because it existed in China before it existed in the US, it’s classed as a ‘pre-existing’ condition.”
