I once worked in a convenience store. The employees were trained to always smile for the customers, who seemed to like it. If those customers knew how much contempt the employees had for them, they would be shocked.
as I was shopping yesterday, online of course, I found the part I needed from three different sites. choosing the least expensive I began my purchase. when it came to shipping choice I noticed “local pickup” so I clicked on that. I then drove 75 miles to this place directed by my navigation system and went in to pick it up. It was like going back in time… a brick building with people being nice and waiting on me…
Once again, I’m confused with a comic strip. The customer makes the comment, then Baldo just looks at him, then they do the financial transaction (credit card or cash), and then Baldo puts the item in a bag, and then replies to the customer’s comment as he hands the bag to him. There must have been some dialog while payment was rendered, so why did Baldo then comment on what the customer said after all that?
