Remember, one doesn’t have to live in Kentucky to vote to defeat Moscow “You Son-of-a-Mitch” McConnell. Any vote against any ( R ) senator will serve the purpose…
That We The People have allowed politicians to do their own vetting, and make their own rules, which explains why we get the government we deserve! People that are unfit for office need to be culled and we should never have political tyrants like McConnell in office. Since political parties have a tribal loyalty — that prevents them from policing themselves or prevents them from putting country above parry — we, who want to sustain our constitutional democratic republic, have to do it ourselves, town by town, city by city, state by state. We may differ with or neighbors on how to do things but we all agree that our dysfunctional government has been broken by partisanship and that the perpetrators are unwilling to reform themselves, so we must do it for them. Join one of the bipartisan groups that want to restore We The People’s power and return the role — by means of meaningful unambiguous written job requirements — of a representative to that of a competent, decent, civil, honorable, responsible, public servant.
We expect electricians, plumbers, engineers, etc to be licensed and knowledgeable, so why should representatives be held to lower standards. Politicians instead of attracting competent altruists seem to attract the power-seekers who have turned an obligation to the public into an opportunity to improve things for the wealthy individuals and corporations. Only We The People can fix this as our politicians are not to be trusted to do the correct things as they repeatedly mock a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
While I normally love Tom’s cartoons, I have to take issue with the premise of the drawing. I doubt that Tiny could pass the written portion of the driver’s license test (it has way too many words in it) or that because he lived most of his adult life in Manhattan he even knows how to drive, let alone do it legally.

It’s really Vlad Putin controlling the wheel
And Trump’s just a minor part of the deal
The poodle, the puppet, the Siberian serf
But we all know who’s REALLY in charge of the turf!

He has the Right-of-Way … {rhyme}
Watch your step when Trump takes the wheel; -
- the prez has the right-of-way.
When The Donald drives past, just curtsy or kneel
and praise him with “Yay!!” or “Hooray!!”
for his being a stable genius, – ideal
for saving America’s day.

“Driving Us All Crazy”
If our president’s job was REALLY driving a car,
And he drove ‘bout the same as his governing skills are,
He’d always be honking his horn and flicking his brights,
And constantly engaging in nasty road rage fights.
.
His driving speed would oft be beyond the one posted.
He’d turn without signals, his passing close calls boasted.
He’d pass blind on hills, purposely aim for road kills.
To imagine him driving a car gives one the chills.
.
And don’t get me started on his constantly tweeting!
His fondness for using his phone this way needs scant repeating.
To finger punch the phone keys, he’d drive with his knees,
Not watching the road, ‘cross all lanes and shoulders he weaves.
.
Maybe it’s just as well and good he does NOT drive a car,
That a golf cart is ‘bout all we’ve seen him drive so far.
The toll would be staggering with the people he’d hit,
Let alone all the traffic offenses he’d commit!
.
But really, is not his driving our country much worse?
Especially since he drives it so fast in reverse?
We might look forward with boundless relief to the day
His dangers are such that we yank his license away!

Murderous Trump should put some missiles on that car so he can clear the road ahead of himself.
