Wallace is going to need the jumbo bottle of eye drops after that salt-water bath.

Wait til his mother finds out… on second thought, she would probably join him!

He’s thinking of those fish sticks and tater tots his mother is preparing for supper…

I love to be in the water, but I’m not big on cold.

If the marine life breaks into song, I’m leaving.

The sea temp at Narragansett RI, approximately where Wallace is diving in, is 44 degrees Fahrenheit today.

In real life, he’d be experiencing the mammalian diving reflex. That’s when your circulatory system’s siren goes “Woo-ah! Woo-ah!” and warns “Shut down unnecessary sectors! Shut down! Diving! Diving!” over the PA system. It stops sending blood to non-essential parts of your body and slows down your heart rate (which can get irregular, too) so as to focus on keeping your internal organs going.

Reminds me a bit of the scene from the film “The Incredible Mr Limpet” when he made his wish and jumped into the ocean and started to change…

From the looks of that fish, I’d say Wallace has accidentally dived into the Naboombu lagoon. He better watch out for a big fishhook or he’ll end up as referee for a football match with the king.
