My heart is pretty worthless after it has been stomped on, shredded, and rejected, many times in my life. You learn to patch it with steel bands, and go on.

I’ve been looking up for this strip since they started it. the line ‘friend of friends…’ s one of the sweetest to appear in this strip.

I take that snoopy has a heart of six million dollars, for understanding his friends situation.

If I were Snoopy I would hug Woodstock and give him the six dollars anyway any say, Here, I understand, buy her something nice and if she comes to me, I will tell her not to mind what I said at the party, but that you are an upstanding bird!

You tell him, Snoopy. I’d say a broken heart is worth at least $750 decillion

The world sure needs more of that.

When did this strip originally air? Out of curiosity, I googled the worth of $6 in 1960, and it says $52. Snoopy is right, of course.

I guess all of us get beaten up by life, and some of those “friends” do it on purpose, because that’s their nature, they are just plain mean. But Snoopy is not mean. He has a tender heart. He made a mistake. He is saddened by his friend’s hurt, he wants to make up for it. Yes, Snoopy, a friend’s heart is worth much more than $6, or any amount of money. And having the insight that recognizes this is priceless.

What’s as heartening as Snoopy’s repentance is Woodstock’s forgiveness.

Okay, I can’t lie. I LOVE it whenever Snoopy or Woodstock refers to the other as “My friend of friends.” What can I say. Melts me heart.

Also….this is one of the only times I’ve ever seen Schulz get downright mushy. He was not usually in the mush business, so it stands out.

This is such a touching comic strip. It is saying that even the best of friends fight sometimes, but if you are true friends, you will always forgive each other.
