    When they throw Rudy under the bus things will really start to unravel for the GOP defense team. He will rat out Donny rather than trust him to pardon him. And, still, Moscow Mitch won’t allow a Senate conviction.

    Why does anyone believe Sondheim’s “belief” that Trump was being fed info by Rudy, about how bad Ukraine was?

    Rudy had no opinions about Ukraine until he became Trump’s lawyer. The badmouthing of Ukraine was going in the other direction — originating in Russia, by Putin, then imparted to Trump and THEN to Rudy.

    It was Trump (via Putin) who wanted/wants to weaken Ukraine so that they may again be taken over by Putin oligarchs.

    .

    And Trump Disciples believe that Ukraine’s rightful place is under Putin’s thumb.

    All Rudy has to do is to agree and regurgitate what Tiny says – there’s money in it somewhere for both of them.

    Giuliani’s Schemes – {a rhyme}

    Mischievous are Rudy’s eyes,

    and impishly they twinkle and gleam

    when he in his lawyer’s guise

    devises scheme after scheme. -

    - But bigly his advising FAILS. Alas.

    So bigly The Donald falls on his *ss.

    {Yet Rudy’s advice The Donald heeds,

    altho’ it’s a SMART Roy Cohn he needs.}

    Really? There is nothing Rudy can say that Trump hasn’t already thought of.

    Shouldn’t Giuliani be on the LEFT shoulder? What happened to Trump’s guardian angel, on his right shoulder? (I shudder to imagine.) And maybe Rudy should instead be shown as a disgusting little earwig, eating its way through the brain.

    {Off-topic:}

    The Prez and the Crazy Aunt - {a rhyme}

    Our crazy old aunt // might rave and rant

    and give us lotsa static. // So we lock ‘er up in the attic. …

    … Our prez is also a wack // who gives us lotsa flak,

    but So far we’ve left ‘im alone // to tweet ’is tweets on ‘is phone, -

    - where havoc ‘e wreaks // when ‘is picque-ishness peaks.

    … Coda:

    ’Twould be less problematic // were Both locked up in the attic.

    Anyone else see the clip of Giuliani, someone who’s not authorized to conduct business with foreign officials on behalf of the US government, on Glen Beck’s little internet show admitting that he is still conducting an investigation into the Bidens in Ukraine?

    This is what you get when you drain the “swamp” of all the competent people. You are left being surrounded by a lot of incompetent “Rudys” who only tell you what you want hear. The good part is, they seem to be hastening the demise with all their bumbling foolery.

    Back in 2001, I knew that Time magazine was succumbing to the malaise that’s beset all of American journalism when they weaseled out of honesty in naming their “Person of the Year” (officially, the one who “for better or for worse… has done the most to influence the events of the year”) by just traipsing a few blocks down the street so they could photograph Rudy Giuliani on top of Rockefeller Center.

    Too bad Rudy’s ideas don’t go in one ear and out the other like all the intelligent ideas drifting his way.

    I was a Senior in High School, sitting in Geology class. One of the students, before class started, was listening to her portable (for that time) transistor radio. The teacher entered, told the student to turn off the radio. The student answered to the teacher, “quiet!” and turned up the sound before the teacher could respond, and we all heard “the President is dead” and we all sat (including our teacher) and listened in silence. The teacher then dismissed us, saying, “I can’t do anything right now.” It was my last class of the day, so I took a city bus home; I was struck by how silent everything was. Truly the “Sound of Silence”.
