This reminds me of a scene in the 1995 horror movie “The Relic” when the kathoga killed the K-9 man and first German shepherd partner, the remaining Alsatian bowed its head as the monstrosity let it live and bounded away in the old coal tunnel.

This is one reason why dogs benefited by evolution.

My neighbor’s big orange cat has chased away cats bothering my kitten. It’s good to have a friend.
