A Faux “News” commentator proclaims that the whistleblowers are “suicide bombers” trying to commit “regicide” (assassination of a KING).
Trump and his media defenders are now, literally, trying to make him into a monarch instead of a president.
The colonial Americans who opposed independence — the royalist loyalists to the crown — were known as TORIES — conservatives — and “TORIES” are still, today, what those in the Conservative Party of the U.K. are known.
Conservative elitists want royalty. They want a king.
This royal-worship is antithetical to every principle on which the United States was founded, but does explain Trump’s desire to subvert the Constitutional demands for checks and balances among three co-equal branches, and literally put himself above the law.
And, since Trump has absolutely no sense of history, he feel safe in saying that – but there are those among us who remember what happened to the LAST moron who uttered those words!
The quote is attributed to Louis XIV, trump’s a better match for Louis XVI. Old #16 left this world via the Guillotine. Huzzah! Will history repeat itself? We can only hope.

Liberals — like our Founders — opposed royalty.
We literally fought a war over this.

Fun that the cartoonist didn’t spell the whole thing in French. Or English. Does he think we’re too uninformed to parse “L’état”?

He certainly has enough dirt in his mind to nearly qualify for statehood. Maybe Ukraine’s supposed Biden info would have put him over the top.

Tory Republicans are afraid of regicide, they think they have a king, not a president.

Charles the First said a king could do no wrong. They cut his head off.
