I was thinking ‘Let It Be’ might be appropriate.
The first album is what makes them new & interesting. Then company execs get involved & make it the same commercial crud as everything else.

“Most bands peak with their first album”. That’s because they had their entire life time (up until then) to work on it. They only had months or maybe a year to produce the second album.
