Of course, all the hack cartoonists condemning the Times for leaving out claims favorable to Kavanaugh also leave out the fact that the Times very accurately reported that the FBI did not take evidence from the potential witnesses corroborating Deborah Ramirez. Hypocrisy, thy name is Gary Varvel. And Payne. And Bok. And Ramirez. And . . .
As I have said Repeatedly,,, Where is THE EVIDENCE??? Kavanaugh was put through HELL during his Confirmation Hearing now it’s happening again. Don’t Democrat’s have something else to do?
“In “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh,” authors Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, both of the New York Times, dig into allegations by Deborah Ramirez that Kavanaugh, her classmate at Yale, thrust his exposed penis at her during a party. Kavanaugh emphatically told the Judiciary Committee that the event had never happened, saying that if it had, it would have been “the talk of campus.” One year later, Pogrebin and Kelly write: “Our reporting suggests that it was.”
They found seven corroborators to Ramirez’s story, all of whom had heard about the alleged penis-waggling long before Kavanaugh was nominated, two of them within days of the party at which it allegedly happened.
It’s important to remember that Kavanaugh’s defense all along was never, “I was young and dumb and drunk.” His defense was “It never happened. Everyone else is lying.”
His defense was about black and white, but we all could have had a lot to discuss in the gray of it; we could have waded into some truly thorny conversations. His defense, as it turned out, worked well for him. But it knee-capped the rest of us."
The dog, which represents free speech, is doing the right thing to the drunken rapist liar the Republicans installed as their private Supreme Court Just Us, he should be removed from office for lying.
I don’t like repeating a post, but I will this once:
I went to a private college in the mid-70’s. I was, for the most part the shy, studious type. But I heard of, and saw some fairly rude and crude behavior not unlike the accusations against Kavanaugh.
The Senate Judiciary Committee’s “investigation” was a joke. The functional equivalent of the microscopic box on the proverbial complaint form, bearing the instruction to “print in detail the nature of all of your complaints inside the box provided.”
I believe a fair observer of the sturm und drang of his confirmation would have concluded that he probably participated in some variety of the less than exemplary behavior described.
An adequate show of contrition and regret, coupled with a sincere assertion that he had “grown up” since then would have served him well. He could have learned a thing or two from Bill Clinton’s apology to the Country.
Science Says: Believe Women.Contrary to popular belief, there is no evidence that false rape reports drastically exceed those of other crimes.Kavanaugh frequently interrupted female senators Thursday. That doesn’t bode well for his Supreme Court conduct. There are best practices for interviewing those who report sex crimes – and Thursday’s Senate hearing followed none of them. What the research says about (the very rare phenomenon of) false sexual assault allegations.
You chud cartoonists need to make up your mind – Is the NY Times pissing on Justice Beer, or is he being shat upon, per Lester’s toon? It is strange that in either case, Brett is just standing there, calmly taking it. Makes one wonder what else he gets up to behind closed doors, besides boofing of course.
A judge who commits perjury to get on the DC court is just as likely to have done the same to get on the Supreme Court. He has nothing to complain about as he pulled it off, so far.

He lied under oath about many things and that somehow makes him fit to be a supreme court judge. He should be in jail.

Judging from the trajectory, it looks as if that’s a female dog. Is Varvel more subtle than I thought?
