Did you guys ever stop to think that Gladys just might be the free-spirited artsy type, who encouraged Larry to go on this journey of self discovery?

That she might, herself, be a Bohemian type…

someone who breaks all the rules, and has been upset for years with Larry’s tight adherence to society’s norms…

begging him to break free?

I suggest Larry greet Gladys at the door, turn her around and take her straight to the Tiki for some (many) banana daiquiris. Then bring her back to admire his creativity.

The only sad part here is that they’ll have to cut out that part of the wall to be able to install it at MOMA! He’ll be plastered, or—maybe he was when inspiration struck!

Larry won’t be happy when Gladys gets home. She’ll tell him to keep on going- out the door.
