It will go down hill in a hurry when Gladys gets home.

Great work, Larry! Don’t worry, you will never please the critics in your own time.

Larry later became famous in hip art circles as “Sir Marks-A-Lot”.

Stay in that position, Larry, so Gladys can use her hiking boots on you. I have a feeling you’ll flip ass-over-teakettle for this one.

Did you guys ever stop to think that Gladys just might be the free-spirited artsy type, who encouraged Larry to go on this journey of self discovery?

That she might, herself, be a Bohemian type…

someone who breaks all the rules, and has been upset for years with Larry’s tight adherence to society’s norms…

    begging him to break free?

    Nah… she’s not.

Just look at those two little framed pictures, so precisely placed…

    The otherwise bare walls…

    the plain, neutral rug.

    Larry is toast.

I suggest Larry greet Gladys at the door, turn her around and take her straight to the Tiki for some (many) banana daiquiris. Then bring her back to admire his creativity.

Let it go, let it go

    Can’t hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

The only sad part here is that they’ll have to cut out that part of the wall to be able to install it at MOMA! He’ll be plastered, or—maybe he was when inspiration struck!

Larry won’t be happy when Gladys gets home. She’ll tell him to keep on going- out the door.
