Platform: A more elegant way to say “soap box”.

But if the passersby intend to impart any physical representations of their opposing viewpoints back at Perry, it’s probably not a good idea to be standing on a target…

I was grateful for the caption. I had feared that Perry’s platform was more like a launching pad, with arrows showing potential directions of flight. With Perry no longer in frame, well, he might be anywhere.

At leased he’s gotta PERMIT…

I doubt that Perry is all that receptive of others’ opinions (unless they agree with his own).

Before the arrows his opinions were always very convoluted. The arrows are props to keep him on the right track while opining and his audience is ever so grateful.

Perry’s kind of a novice. A avid orator would have his platform on the street corner.

As Perry stands on his bull’s eye, he can’t figure out why he is the target of ridicule on the straight and arrow street of Ballard.
