Time for Anger Management class Garfield.

I’ve often wondered that myself.

One of “them” is my doctor. He sounds like a broken record (for those of us old enough to remember what “sounding like a broken record” meant).

“They” are a combination of the ‘Intelligentsia’, the Main Stream Media, and the Deep State. And remember, if you don’t believe what they are telling you, they will just put one of their ‘labels du jour’ on you and shove you into a corner.

I still don’t know who the “they” are… but they’ve infested the Internet and their claims and advice are becoming far more weird.

“They” is a singular pronoun these days, Garf. Go figure!

In the novel Dune, Frank Herbert said that using the term “they say” is a sign that superstition dominates.

“They” means the overwhelming medical and scientific evidence, as well as the testimony of more people than you can count, Garfield. But if you want to die prematurely of diseases brought on by obesity, that’s your business. No one is going to force you to diet and exercise! “They” are just trying to help.
