Tracy was only off work a week at the most, but it’s good to see that the police lab is hard at work. I wonder if it’s even possible to get prints off a shell like that, but I noticed that Doc was still wearing gloves, even while he was watching TV, so I don’t think they’ll find prints.

If you had any recognition abilities you wouldn’t be dressed like an Irish pimp… 2- …I presume the entire squad rushed out and immediately cuffed the shooter. SAM: Welllllll. It was dark and there was shooting and nobody wanted to run into a bullet. McNichols was peeking through the curtains and thought he saw a wee fella running off though.
I guess Tracy got into the police HQ locker room without Sam’s seeing it. But Sam has wandered in, for whatever reason, and gets to fill Tracy in on the status of the investigation into his shooting.Tracy looks kinda hunky in his undershirt as he continues dressing (did he just take a shower?). Anyway, I am sure the MCU will be happy to have him back! But it is going to take a further break to make headway in his case….
I don’t think that they expect to find fingerprints in the slug. It is far more likely that they hope to identify the model of firearm and to find peculiarities that might be used to match the bullet to the specific gun that might have fired it. That would be useful both to point them towards suspects and to serve as evidence.
