You may laugh, but we actually did something similar when we moved into my in-law’s “fixer-upper.” The up-pipe from in the only bathroom’s bathtub shower was leaking, and probably had been for years, but there were so many things that needed doing it took back seat. So we stuck a kiddie pool under the house in the crawl-space. Worked fine until we could get to it.
I have an ice cream bucket hanging from a dripping unused tap.. the tap drips so slowly the water evaporates but now will not leave a stain on the concrete.. eventually.. I will get around to it to fix it.. Retired now for 5 years easy to put things off.
