Maybe off topic, but I notice Frazz is hand picking dandelions instead of using the cancer causing ‘Round Up’.We never used weed killer. Dug up the dandelions. Kids came by & watched me having so much fun. I got our some buckets & equipment to dig dandelions. Yard never looked better after half an hour with quite a number of neighborhood children collecting buckets full of yellow dandelions before they went to fluffy flying seeds.
I’ve spent many a Christmas morning in front of the Fireplace Channel, but I don’t think it’s because they don’t like fires where I’m staying. I think it’s more like they can’t function there without a television set on, and that’s the closest they could get to turning it off without giving up.
But a Fireworks Channel instead of real fireworks? Now, that sounds like a good idea to me. But then, somehow the get-excited-about-fireworks gene never found its way into my double helix.
Like many cartoons, and certainly many of mine, this episode is seriously flawed. You just know that it wouldn’t be a good idea at all to go looking at YouTube fireworks videos. I’d have to guess something in the 90%+ range of them have, explicitly or implicitly, the words “Epic Fail” written into the title and are about as healthy or comfortable to watch as That One Scene in “Reservoir Dogs.”

I like the fireplace channel: We don’t have one, (and when I was a kid we did) and I miss it. Plus the audio part is so very soothing.

A place where you can still “shoot off” your own fireworks? I guess the “we know what is best for everybody” crowd hasn’t gotten to that location yet.
