Battling teenage activists in a court in Oregon over their claim that perpetuating systems contributing to the climate crisis violates their constitutional right to an environment free from climate catastrophe, government lawyers have not disputed the science but “have instead argued that the court does not have the legal authority to tell the federal government what to do about climate change, and that a trial would be too burdensome. They have also argued that Americans don’t have a right to ‘a climate capable of sustaining human life’ .” (UK Guardian, June 4). Let that sink in.
Definitely a generational issue. The only good thing about the anti-everything folks is that in addition to their long-standing position against universal healthcare is that they don’t live as long as other Americans do.
Can someone convince the rich guys, that there won’t be anywhere to run to? The collapse of the climate will croak us all, it will just take a little longer to get the rich.

Americans don’t have a right to ‘a climate capable of sustaining human life’ but we Capitalists have a right to make a ton of money off your deaths.
