I was on a charity trail ride in 1992 where we rode about a hundred miles in the course of several days in North Dakota. At one point the wagon horses ran into some quicksand well off he side of the road we were traveling down. Thankfully, no one got hurt, the horses didn’t panic, and they moved up to the road for a bit. Where about a hundred yards further down there was a sign warning about quicksand. Yeah, thanks for the heads up. :-/
