Why would Donny nominate anyone except a lick-spittle to serve in his administration? People who have no role except cover his a**, speak positively of him, tear down the checks and balances in government, demonize those who aren’t white/male/conservative? Barr is doing just fine for Donny in his job, obfuscating the truth by any means possible.
It’s just as likely, maybe even more so, that there was some malfeasance from the left in their effort to discredit or even take down trump, as it is that trump abetted the russians in their attempts to interfere with the election. This could be fun :)

Lisa, putting aside your implied bias, the way you drew the ’toon has a flaw. Its the same dirt under the pail as it is in the steam shovel (or modern equivalent). I think you were trying to draw the pail being in one lot-with shallow graves of dirt- and the steam shovel digging under the “Non-Republican THEREFORE League of EVIL Socialist”™ ground.
So we are going to put the investigators in jail because there was ( a claim) of no collusion? …. What if he doesn’t can we put Barr in jail if the probe was legal?
The real irony here is that it is the Republicans that are busy installing a “deep state” by flushing out all levels of the federal government anyone that does not meet their profile of ideological purity. Furthermore, they blocked all appointments to the bench during Obama’s administration, and then started filling those benches with judges that had been vetted by the extreme right-wing Federalist society.
