Oh! Those naive Creepy Smile Villagers think the fact that they outnumber her gives them an advantage. They are not going to enjoy learning who they’re dealing with.
I think the best storytelling would be show her returning with the kids but not show the readers what she does…just show us that the townspeople no longer smile like that anymore. Leave us wondering and speculating what she is capable of.
