Destruction of the universe is not likely so how about "The Cloak of Invisibility. it won’t make the world go away but they’ll have a harder time finding her majesty.
The Universe is too large. So that life is hard to find. Intelligent life most of all will be difficult. The Quiet Forest Problem. Also it has been found that a certain bias can keep us from noting any intelligent actions out in deep space. It will be over looked. Ironic no? Also it would destroy our society globally even if they just visit.
We have examples on our own planet when that happened.
