It probably will not win a Pulitzer or anything, but as a description of the Republican base, there will not be anything better.

And Trump Disciples will not dispute it, but will wear it as a badge of honor, as directed by Steve Bannon. They are supremely comfortable with his lies, his corruption, and his treason, so long as he expresses their hatred toward Those People.

Trumps philosophy for men (and women/families too) – if he’s brown kick him down, if he’s black show him no slack, if he’s yellow then he’s a sorry fellow, but if he’s white he’s alright (as long as he is a member of the GOP).

If I remember correctly, the rule is to choose a section of humanity, and make people fear and hate them…common enemy makes folks feel better about themselves. Think Hitler….

Wolfillg, this is EXACTLY the rhetorical device used by the psychopathic narcissist. I could use it in the following way:

“I hear many folks call him deranged.”

“Some say he’s a psychopath, I don’t know.”

“Everybody knows Barr is a toadie."

“There are those who say trump has age-related dementia.”

Using the phrases “everybody knows” and “some people say” and “I hear” or “they say” is used when you do not want to closely associate yourself with the truth of the statement, but want to show your agreement anyway because it’s a way of deflecting lies and hateful, derogatory statements onto “somebody else.” You can claim that others say this or that, and you are an innocent bystander, simply repeating what others are talking about.

This rhetorical device is how trump frames, embraces, and spreads his divisive psychopathic fantasies. He’s always doing it, and his poor deluded followers are too debased to object. Every time he stands in front of the camera and lies, the people standing near him, and all those who agree with him are debased a little more. Every time. This is how we got here. Lies and hatred spread with nasty rhetoric and more lies.

As James Comey said yesterday, this man eats your soul a little bit at a time. This rhetorical device is how the poor deluded sycophants deflect their association and identification with trump’s hateful, lying rhetoric.

In days of old.. crowds enjoyed hangings.. burning at the stake… beheading’s.. Sadly humanity seem to have a dark side and the trump is taking full advantage of that.

I hear that with some kinds of brain damage, you imagine smells that aren’t actually there. Might want to have that checked.

And so he demonstrated once again why they are called “base.”
