The Declaration of Independence is Fake News (a few examples)
“For protecting [armed troops] by a mock trial” This refers to the so-called Boston Massacre where John Adams used the “they feared for their lives” defense still in use today in police shootings.
“For imposing taxes on us without our consent” The part they leave out is in 1771 the Colonies were invited to send voting delegates to Parliament, but since the Colonists would have had to pay their salary and expenses the Americans refused.
“He has…burnt our towns”. This refers to British Commander Dunmore who burned two warehouses containing contraband, but after he sailed off the Colonists set fire to Norfolk – because it contained a large number of freed slaves that were getting uppity – and said it was done by Dunmore.
“That all men are created equal” Unless you are black.
If you examine each of the Declaration’s points you find that almost all are hyperbole or out-right conspiracy theory fantasies gained by twisting the facts. Indeed, if Jefferson was alive today he would probably be running an alt-white-right website and host talk radio.

It’s great to see Brian back with his periodic John Adams tribute. There is of course no comparison between the despicable actions of the British government in the late 18th century and the efforts of the current President to clean up the messes and corruption left by the previous administration. Let’s be honest and admit that Trump’s only crime was beating Clinton by running a nationwide campaign focused on real issues.
You can’t get blood out of a turnip and you can’t get an indictment out of the Mueller report.
There is nothing in the public version of the report that meets the standard required for an indictment, much less a conviction. There was no collusion (read conspiracy) and there no obstruction under any legal definition of same.
Trumps opponents are engaging in wishful fantasy and self delusion. I suggest everyone read the report and independently research the instances Mueller and Weissmann didn’t have the balls to admit were not criminal actions.
The final report is a political document. It violates the moral and ethical standards and rules all prosecutors are supposed to live by. The second section is the moral equivalent to Comey’s press conference on the email scandal.
If a prosecutor is not going to seek an indictment he says that and only that. He does NOT present his findings in detail. He does not lay out the various ideas he pursued and abandoned as non-productive. The prosecutor does NOT engage in character assassination UNLESS he is prepared to file charges.

In between Trump ruining the GOP and some of the Neo-Dems trying to ruin the Democrats, maybe it is time for a Three party Opera?

I don’t know if you’re eligible for a Pulitzer or not Brian, but you ought to be. The depth of this is amazing.

But Trump has learned from history. His poses and movements are copied from Mussolini. And his playbook is a copy of Mein Kampf.

Lord save us all from “King Donald” and his evil minions (not to mention his evil cohort of dictators and dictator look-alikes).

You misspelled “supporters”, it’s not spelled “opponents”.
