As far as I know, not one representative of a sanctuary city has made such a statement. Stop lying, Kelley, by projecting your words into someone else’s mouth and making it out as fact.
Kelley simple assumes that since he fears refugees that everyone else must. He is wrong. Not everyone lives in fear and distrusts even their fellow Americans. The Republican family that many of us in the Silent generation grew up in was thrifty, frugal, supportive of competition and small businesses (the real job creators) and we were warned about the MIC and danger of profit and greed overtaking secure middle-class jobs. And now folks like Kelley have to prop up the image of greedy self-serving monopolists/oligopolists and try to make them seem human and intelligent in spite of the growing income disparity between the 1% and the middle-class.
Mr. Kelley would these be the same mayors who went door-to-door with President Obama and took your guns away in 2009? and 2010? and 2011? and 2012? and 2013? and 2014? and 2015? and 2016? Would they be the ones who set up the pizzagate child sex ring in the basement that didn’t exist? The same ones that sent soldiers to take over Texas for Jade Helm 15 (and why aren’t you drawing more of that since Texas is still being held under liberal Martial law?)? The ones who didn’t set up memorial statues for the millions who died at the Bowling Green Massacre? Are the illegal immigrants in question from Nambia….a country only you and your Pustulent Orange Failure can find?
People in this meatpacking and college town of about 10,000 to 15,000 — nobody really knows how many, because so many are immigrants — are worried more about whether they’ll get deported than how that Trump Tower meeting went down. The “dreamers” show up as the Democratic presidential hopefuls stream through town asking when they might find relief. Health care is the talk over coffee with candidates. Farmers want to know when we can seal a trade deal with China, because they’re getting walloped in the soybean markets.
…To Rick Peterson, that’s all been baked into the market, as he would have said as an investment adviser before his recent retirement. He also is a CPA and a Sooner by education, but he has become a FAR (Fallen-Away Republican). He said the religious right drove him off from a caucus several years ago by intimidation and rigidity.
“I don’t need to read the Mueller report to come to the conclusion that Trump’s a crook and a liar, and that you can’t trust him as far as you can throw him,” said Peterson, who spends his days sizing up the Democrats who parade through town almost by the week.

Because everyone knows that there is no sanctimony in the Republican Party.

What Mayors of sanctuary cities say: “Bring ‘em on in, we’ll help them acclimate.”
What Republicans hear: “Bring ‘em on in, just don’t send ’em here.”
What is it in Republican’s brains that translate “we’ll help them acclimate” into “just don’t send ’em here”?

This cartoon justifies a vicious and evil program that treats helpless people as political pawns.
Disgusting lying Republicans have no shame at all.
