The Mueller Report included several “filling” items – proof that the “fake news” was from Trump and the media was telling the truth, a recommendation for Congress to pursue obstruction charges, several meetings with Russia, emoluments violations and there is much, much more. Ariail needs to read the Mueller report instead of the Barr non-summary and don’t listen to Barr acting like he is Trump’s lawyer instead off being the top lawyer for the U.S. – that press conference was ridiculous.
The part that is NOT redacted makes it quite clear that Trump committed treason, and ordered people to obstruct justice. What is in the REDACTED section? Mueller made it very clear that the only reason he didn’t indict Trump was that it was Congress’ job, not his. Ariail REALLY needs to do his homework. What we have now is more than enough evidence to impeach #45.
At the Constitutional Convention in 1789, James Madison imagined impeachment as a relief from a chief executive who “might lose his capacity after his appointment. He might pervert his administration into a scheme of peculation or oppression. He might betray his trust to foreign powers.”
One of the Robert Mueller report’s more damning examples of President Trump’s attempt to stymie the investigation included his order for White House counsel Don McGahn to tell the deputy attorney general to fire the special counsel. “Mueller has to go,” was Trump’s directive.
Trump ultimately backed down when McGahn threatened to resign.
This was not the first revelation about the episode. In January 2018, the New York Times reported on Trump’s order and McGahn’s refusal to carry it out, citing “four people told of the matter.”
“Fake news, folks,” Trump said when asked about the account in Davos, Switzerland. “Fake news. A typical New York Times fake story.”
Trump then tried to double down on deception by getting McGahn to publicly deny the stories in the Times and Washington Post. McGahn refused because the accounts “were accurate,” the special counsel’s report revealed.
One of the takeaways from the 448-page Mueller report, a redacted version of which was made public Thursday, was the extent to which the Trump White House knocked down stories it knew to be true and concocted others it knew to be false.
The notion that Trump has an issue with the truth is not exactly news. The Washington Post has tracked more than 9,400 false or misleading claims since he took office on Jan. 20, 2017.

If one were to probe a little deeper than certain cartoonist, one might find that the repubs have a bad taste in their mouths.

I think Ariall is basing the cartoon on Barr’s “summary” rather than on the actual report.

I wouldn’t drink anything served by that bartender. You ask for a rum and coke, you will only get rum or coke.

I wouldn’t belly up to THAT Barr in the first place.

If the elephant could actually read and comprehend, he would be unhappy.

After a long day of redacting, a large glass of beer is definitely in order! Cheers!

Trump’s White House a fake news factory

The elephant has bought stock in the brewery, so he has to claim it tastes good.

I’m glad to see he portrays it as having a “head”.
