She wants to make sure he measures up before she lets him in. It’s as if she wants to take their relationship to the next level, to “level up”, so to speak.
When the stockroom was remodeled in our store, a piece of of the shelving support was by the trash. It was l shaped & the longer part was about 4 feet. Someone put it by the trash compactor & put a sign on it “You must be this tall to use this machine”. Of course we were all tall enough!
Better than being the guy who was trying to explain to an obese couple with their even more so kid, that the weight limits on the Ferris Wheel were real, no exceptions. The kid was too young to ride by himself, add dad and they were over. Mom wasn’t having any of it. Guy had to call security.
A friend had an amusement park job as a teenager. When he ran the merry-go-round, he complained that ALL the fattest kids wanted to ALWAYS get up on the highest horses. It was his job to help (lift) them up. He was a regular tall skinny guy, then. He tried to explain that as soon as the ride started, that horse would go down, but if they got on the lowest horse, those would go up as soon as the ride started. His argument was successful only 10% of the time. Then about half the time those fat kids on the high horses cried when the ride started and the horse went down.
Amazing that adults display the same behavior today.

If he doesn’t, you don’t either. Now if it said ‘You have to be this smart’, he’s out there. Come to think it, she would be too.
